Lynn has been involved in athletics all her life. Since Junior high school, she competed in tennis and track and field as a sprinter, high jumper and hurdler. She competed for the Central Dauphin High School in the Pennsylvania State Track and Field competion in the high jump both her junior and senior years. It was during these years she was introduced to weight training.
She studied nutrition as a sideline to her speech communication major at Penn State University from 1981-1985.
In 1984 she began bodybuilding competitively placing 2nd in the A.A.U. Pennsylvania Couples Bodybuilding competition.
After college, with a greater focus on bodybuilding, Lynn won the 1987 Ms. Pennsylvania Bodybuilding Championship Middle weight division and overall title, qualifying her for the National competition.
In 1988, she placed 5th in NPC National Bodybuilding Championships as a middleweight competitor.
In 1991, she entered her first international powerlifting event and won her weight class and set a world record in the deadlift ( 315 lbs.)
In 1993 first runner up Washington D.C. Grand Prix Bodybuilding Championships
1994 & 1996 National and World Powerlifting Submaster Record holder in the Bench Press and Deadlift. |
